M5 Competition vs M5 Base Suspension

Hello BMW M5 Family!

I bought a 2016 BMW M5 Competition but unfortunately need to replace the knee assembly on the left rear side.

Is the suspension the same as the regular M5 base?

I am not able to find the Competition suspension anywhere.

Appreciate your help!

I don't think it is and afraid it's a stealership visit.

I called the dealer, that's what they said but most likely it should be the same suspension as the m5 base.

They'll find out when part numbers are compared.

I *think* the dampers and springs may be different but I doubt they would have made changes to the structural components like arms etc. Check part numbers. There is usually good pricing at https://www.oempartsource.com/ You can just type in your VIN there.

The springs and the sway bars are 100% different. Not sure about anything else.

This is my thought exactly. . The springs are definitely different and the dampers most likely are comp only but I doubt that any other components are.
