Trying to decide between two both from BMW dealers non CPO:

1. 2015 single owner regular maintenance with 36000 miles. Has executive package, driver assistance package, and B&O. Space gray.
Asking price $56000

2. 2015 single owner with no regular maintenance with 29000 miles. Has competition package, driver assistance package, and B&O. Singapore gray.
Asking price $59000

I think you have room to negotiate down on both. Auction values are on average around $51k w/ 36K miles on 15's.

I would start my negotiations somewhere in that neighborhood and then make a decision on who's giving you the better deal. How much a Comp. Pack. means to you can also play a factor.

Check service history to ensure all scheduled maintenance was performed and have an Indy Shop perform a PPI to be safe. I would also consider warranty as they may expiring soon if they have not already.

I am looking at an alpine white M5 w/ comp package with about 44k miles, they are asking 50k. They also have a 14 with similar miles with slightly better options for 45k.

Thoughts? The 15 has warranty until November at least, not sure that is worth 5k more. Is 50 a good price for the 15?

based on the 2 i am looking at (per post above) it would seem overpriced. I haven't gotten the service records for each so that could be dictating a couple of things.

I doubt the second one has ZERO service history if it was a 1 owner car under warranty that would be the craziest thing I've ever heard of if someone paid top dollar and didn't utilize the free oil change or anything lol


Take the vin to a BMW dealer service department say you just bought the car and want to see the internal documents to know what you need to bring the car in for and they should pull them up.

If the cars been in to ANY bmw dealer they'll see it on that report.

i got the service records, both have had the normal maint. intervals. For some reason just wasn't populating on the car fax. Probably going to try and get them to come down on price since both have 45k miles.

Its a buyers market I'd low ball every dealership with a comparable car in the USA and whichever one was lowest I'd bring it to these two and say beat this ?

With arrival of new models, in my opinion this chassis will become the new E60 M5. Thus, I will agree with others to lowball dealers

late post but a 15 with warranty is worth 50K IMO.
around here I see 15 without warranty asking for 55+ (depending on package)

Sorry to hijack this thread but I’m looking at similar cars and wanted to know if anyone has advice on negotiating.

2015 M5 CPO (warranty until 3/2020)

22,000 miles

2016 M5 (warranty until 8/2020)
Alpine White exterior

14,500 miles

I prefer the Sakhir Orange exterior but white is not bad. To me the 16 seems to be the best deal.

Market cannot bear these prices. It seem sales for F10 are becoming stagnant. It seems everything related to F10 is moving at turtle’s pace, other than OEM parts if you know what I mean. In my opinion, tuners stopped paying attention to F10; new girl in town F90. So, my advice is to lowball dealers. Some dealerships are not in the me with the F10 M5 market, and they think, oh it’s a M5 let’s charge arm and a leg. I bought my 2015 CP in January ‘18 for 55k with 26k miles fully optioned (plus full vinyl wrap), minus night vision and B&O.
