HELP - Fuel leak?

Hi, my car has VRSF catless downpipes and tune.
Got my oil changed and put in new bmc airfilter
Car was driving fine, 30 mins into the drive did a pull and then when I slowed down the cabin was smelling of fuel. No smoke from exhaust nothing, no underbody leaks. Drove a little after that the smell went down but as soon as I would stop at a red light the cabin would smell again. Opened the hood as well. Could smell gas fumes but no leak.
Didn't risk it and sent the car back on a truck.

Any clue what could it be? Could the maf sensor be messed up while installing new air filter?

Any suggestions would help.

Hi again .tricky one and you say it's gas exhaust fumes rather than gas fuel smell.
You have an opening somewhere that's letting in the fumes, does the exhaust sound if it's broken..louder than usual somewhere that's making it enter the cabin? That's all I can suggest at the moment.

Thanks for the prompt reply. Exhaust sounds normal as usual. Car was perfect. This happened after an oil change. To describe - it smells like raw fuel smell. Like how you can smell at a fuel station. My indie also changed this pipe as it was a little torn.

The oil change should have little to do with it. It's possible however that something was hit or broken when doing it or changing that pipe above. That's the only thing I can think of.

Any particular thing that would've been hit while changing this pipe? Any thing that I should particularly look at?

Wow! Could've cost you an engine. Was a smart idea to be proactive and tow it! As for the cause, my best guess would be if the injectors were tampered with or not coded correctly. Were they?

Could also just be bad luck and it gave out, without any particular reason.

The injectors were changed 1100 kms back before this happened. They were coded properly though. And guess what, a week later my right rail cracked too. Have ordered both rails
