M6 Rears on F10 M5?
Hey guys,
I want to get wider wheels for my rears and want to keep stock look. Has anyone fit m6 style 343 rears on an f10 m5 and how has it worked. I know the m6 rears are 0.5 inches wider and the offset is 19mm vs 34mm for the m5. Any input would be great. Just want to know if its a simple swap or has anyone needed spacers or rubbed with 305s. Oh and I have comp package. Last edited by manny1424; 09-25-2019 at 11:18 AM.. Reason: forgot to add |

I have a comp too and want the oem look without have to deal with spacers. Yes it can be done, straight bolt on and no rubbing. Widest you can go is 295 and they stick out a tiny bit about 5mm or so. Some like it and some don't.

Thnx for the info. That defeats the purpose of going wider for me because the only reason I want to go wider is to fit wider tires for more traction. And I definitely don't want the to stick out. If thats the case I may have to stick to stock set up |

Just go with your stock wheel and a 305/30/20 tire. Many have successfully done this set up with no issues. Some have even gone with a 315 tire dependent on the brand. |

I have M6 601M on mine with 305's and Eibach springs. They do rub on large dips.
If you want traction, just go with 305's on M5 343M. I had that before my current setup but I wanted the 601M for aesthetics. Many members here are running 305's on M5 343M with no issues |

M6 20 x10.5 et 19 601m
Hey guys new to this forum, I purchased the "M6" 601M glossy black for an M5 Competition F10 by accident not knowing there were 2 sizes, they look incredible just got the winter sottozero 295/30 20s which are exact size as the p zeros on it. I am freaking out as to whether this will rub or not. I love these forums however for every "no issue" reply I find another saying it will rub can anyone answer this for me before I mount everything?

I've been thinking about a 315 (r888r) for the spring/summer/fall but 315 may be pushing it...plus worried about losing what little sharpness the rear has w/ the bulgy sidewall of a 315.

Thanks guys! I sent a couple messages to some forum members and consensus is no issues on stock tires w/ M6 rims...it only gets dicey when u go 305 or larger in rear...spent the weekend ceramic coating the wheels cant wait to get the sottozeros on this week! #Winter///M
