If coating is that much better than wrap, why is this no expense spared looking build got wrap pre and post turbo?

Smell still there. There is no getting around it.

It smells like an old beat up truck out of smog compliance but sounds like a fine tuned beast. Youre going to have to live with some smell... It is really NOT that bad. Just roll the windows up if it bothers you.

I hope you get it done. The turbo whistle is SWEET

Yeah but its always funny when you race a unassuming lambo, but pull on him so hard he has to think twice "did i just get raped by a sedan?" It gets even better when they see the car seat in the back (empty of course)

Its funny how many people are using cerakote to coat exhaust pipes.

Cerakote is actually a paint that is normally used for guns...

The paint can "withstand" heat but what it doesn't do is "reduce" the heat or keep the temps cooler. Only stuff I've ever heard about was jet hot but i think they closed.

The reason its double wrapped with the titanium stuff is because i had it before the engine build. When we started the build we removed the wrap and after a year and a half of daily driving it tuned the downpipes still looked brand new... "howbowdah"

If you guys are looking into exhaust coatings I highly recommend Swaintech's White Lightning coating. Easily one of the best out there. They also have other engine type coatings too if you are building a motor.

I've got a raw stainless intake and a set of downpipes I want to install, so it was a serious question since people are saying coatings are better. I've seen the DEI wrap you used on your intakes and three titanium wrap on the exhaust, but I'm still not sure if I should just get everything coated because it's supposedly better or if wrap will do just as good of a job...because racecar.
