It's just a rhetorical question....
....one that focuses on the possibility that the most critical people won't even possess the capital to actually purchase the vehicle (..nor may they ever have the opportunity to drive one). It reminds me of the discussions about the intelligence of city/county/state law enforcement officers. Discussions in which the most critical people probably couldn't pass our basic written test (...and a SHITLOAD of people - college degree holders and all - don't pass the basic POST written test). |

This is stupid, but it sounds pretty realistic. How does it work when you are listening to music though? I like to hear music from the stereo and music from the engine at the same time..

Wish my X6M had it
Great idea. I miss the motor sounds with the windows up. If the cars weren't so well built, this wouldn't be an issue.
I've ordered a 2012 M5 and can't wait to see how it works. I've learned to trust BMW. |

I read about this and thought, it had to be BS. Then to my horror found that it is no joke. Shameful...utterly shameful. WTF are BMW engineers thinking??

They have to do this cos the damn car is so well insulated against the road and wind noise. If u want more sound in the car, u are gonna have to take it along with more of other noise. I am getting mine by the end of the week. I am curious how well it works. If it works as advertised, i am sold. I hate having to wind down the windows to hear more of my M3's music esp after the perf exhaust fitment.

Its great, don't worry about it. I made a joke with the BMW engineer, can I turn it up . We were streaming music over the blue tooth etc., everything worked great. I would not worry about this feature as I think it simply enhances the driving experience.
