Seeing adults I first saw as kids makes me feel old. I see the incoming freshmen walking around campus and realize none of them were born when I started my 3rd career. I took this shot in 2009 and I remember the day well. Beautiful day in Central Park. This kid is most likely in his mid-20's now and might have a kid of his own.

I was legally driving at 9. I got my first driving license at 13.
I got my manhood in a '59 Caddy... it had wings... very cool...

Was just having a tech discussion at work. Teaching some old concepts to some younger infotech network engineers.

Was taking about implementing something called “Internet Protocol version 4” in the late 80s. ….. around that time some people were saying it would never take of.

Funny thing the internet has become 😀

I brought a block of IPV6 addresses about 10 years back as only had small blocks of IPV4s remaining at work.

I sent a email to my IT exec saying, congratulations on owning your new block of IPV6 internet address. “ Please ensure efficient use of our new 2.4 Billion address.”

At the block size ipv6 addresses are being dished out we are going to need IPv8 😀

I regret not grabbing a /16 (Class B) IP netblock for my employer when InterNIC was giving them away for free in the 1980's.....

As the registered owner of three ARIN IPv4 netblocks, I can assure you that the IP address scalpers are contacting me weekly with offers to buy.

My response to them is that I'm not selling, but could be convinced to part with 192.168.0.0/16 for a great price if they want it.....
