But if you look at the M3; X6 M; and X5 M on bmw.ca vs bmwusa.com they are almost exactly $10k different. I think that will be the case with the M5 in the US. I would expect now a base of around $91,500, give or take $1k. That seems pretty awesome to me.
It will have to start under $95k in the US if they want to compete with the E63 and CLS63 which are both starting under $90k.

I was hoping for under $90k. In every country with the M5 for sale, it has a lower base price than the X6 M by a couple grand EXCEPT Canada.

Garage List
"...The new transmission is mated to a short throw shift
linkage topped with a black leather backlit shift knob."

Does anyone have any pics/video of this shift knob? And is it possible to fit this onto other M cars like the M3 or 1M?

Ha!

Your kidding yourself if you think this car won't go over 100k. BMW is on a roll right now in the U.S. and I would expect a fully equipped non-Individual specc'd M5 to be 105k- or around 10k more than a fully equipped E60 M5. An Individual Spec could easily run you to 110k....

Want a bargain? Get an E60 M5 with a V10.

Great deal now....

Here's a photo from last December's NJ C&C:

It's pretty similar to the 1M shift knob.

Best regards,

The full merino leather includes the dash board at least it does in our X5M so it better on the M5 or I won't be happy as that is what we ordered.

Does anyone have pricing for the pedestrian detection I did not see it on the option pricing.

Congratulations R you look like you could be the first in Canada......

Yes, I was just gonna say the same. Mine was 96k after tax fully loaded 6MT, no individual.

And I don't think there are dealers do mark up in Vancouver, MB Audi BMW Porsche etc.

US price will not be around that. It should be several thousand less just like all other BMW models when comparing US vs Canadian pricing.

If you want a bargain. Get the 550i for $30k less, same block/displacement. Then get some upgraded turbos when they become available.

Ok full leather is the only interior with leather dashboard. There are only 3 colour choices, which are black, silver and sakhir orange. Extended leather has less leather and doesn't have the leather dash and other bits. I recommend full leather all the way. It feels way more luxurious!! :-)

550 is a slow, lumbering pig car. The M5 tuned suspension and overall design changes the car immeasurably.

No bargain in getting something you dont want.

Powerplant has the same potential with upgraded turbos, same block, same displacement, same potential.

$30,000 can go a looooooong way.

If modding is in your blood, the obvious choice is the 550i.

The new F10 in general is a lumbering pig, the M5 weighs over 4,300 lbs. That isn't a pig, it is a whale.
