I ordered the diffuser and had it delivered about 2 weeks ago. Ran into fitment issues.

The fitment looks on par with the usual Seibon CF parts as well, despite the M tax they put on the parts. A lot of adjustments required. yuck

Agreed, absolutely lightweight is the way to go but this one's an over-kill and goes beyond the sophisticated and mysterious yet hidden-monster persona. Colour is fine as black is my preference.

Cost? weight saved?

I think the hood without the vents wouldn't be a bad idea.

To me the days of these over done body parts are done. Especially on a car worth 100K + brand new.

Our car has gone 100+ several times with no issues.

The OEM Hood weighs 28lbs.
Both of the AP hoods come in at 23 lbs.

The OEM Trunk has a weight of 30lbs, while the AP Trunk comes in at just 14lbs.

These parts do not have poor fitment. Anyone local to Vivid is more than welcome to come by the shop and inspect for yourself.

I like the trunk. Had the CSL style carbon fiber trunk lid on my 335 and it really transformed the look and character of the car. Really stood out. I think these parts will gain traction as the amount of m5s grows and the individuality level shrinks. In the mean time... sponsor me =D

Unless you want a show car to take to Sema and other shows alike, this is a huge waste of money as it takes the sexy sleak M5 and turns it into something it was NOT designed for..

DISCLAIMER: I am a huge fan of modifying cars, especially M cars but this is just too much. Perhaps the M3 is still a better candidate for this kind of treatment.
Couldn't agree more.
