Next gen ///M5 (F10) spied in testing followed by E60 M5
Looks like the F10 M5 is already being tested on the nurburgring. Photos show it being shadowed by an E60 M5.... for comparative purposes

You can see how much sleeker it looks just by looking at how smoothly flowing the window lines are, and the C-pillar region looks much sharper too.

I think it looks really big because of the camera angle, in the first few pics, the F10 is always in the front. From the last 2 pics, the F10 looks significantly "less" bigger. Or it could be the extra full body kit that's on the thing to hide its real shape that's making it look huge.

It seems to me that the length is more or less the same, but it's considerably wider.... I think that's a good thing.... especially with a carbon fiber roof, it would help the car turn better...
I'm not to big on the oversized nostrils though... Maybe it'll grow on me when I see the actual car. Looking at the pics of the new 7 series, all I can see in the front view are the nostrils... |

to be the first one to say that i really don't like where bmw is going with this new generation of bmws, the 7 series looks like CRAP, except the interior and stuff, still shittier than the current 7 series. the 3 series is getting the most UGLIEST cosmetic upgrade EVER and the 5 series looks like its going to the same direction i dunno about you guys but some people might start considering moving to other brands like mercedes, infiniti and lexus it might be hard to do but bmw is not looking very good in my BOOK anymore.

Thats what I was thinking at first, but look at the front angle shot at the interior. You can see an iDrive hump in the middle of the dash. The F01 has the iDrive integrated into the dash and has eliminated the hump.
I sure hope this is an M7 tho, because a 5 series cannot be that big, I mean honestly!

Couldn't disagree more. Looks like they did away with those ridiculous headlights on the e60, the ugly taillights are gone as well. I'm very excited to see what the next gen really looks like.

They are making an M7 prototype got this news from dealership here in LA that is heading out of the states to test the new M5 and M7 prototype. I am not joking! Hell they are coming with an X5 and X6 M so why do you not think they will have one for the 7 series?

Ok guys, first of all, the plastic cladding makes the car look bigger than it is. I remember reading somewhere that dimensions shouldn't change too much from the e60. Don't know where, so I don't have any links. Second, I love the huge grille, and think the one on the e60 is a little wimpy if anything. Third, I'm almost positive it'll look better than the e60, simply because it should eliminate the slab-sided lines, the funky headlights, and the feminine/bland tail.
