If you have extra options fitted like lane change etc then more electronics and more chance to fail. A BMW service manager once told me dash needs replacement quoting an example if that happens when I asked about warranty cover.
*If the dash has ever been removed for some reason the plugs may not have been fully inserted and popped out, worth checking before anything else.

Did you accidentally turn it off? The buttons on the stalk turn it on and off also change what it displays. Worth a shot to check.

If the car needs a trickle charge to survive overnight, it's time to replace the battery. Or some module isn't turning off and is draining the battery.

OP I didnt know this but apparently this is a common hiccup on these since new. After the car is turned off for an hour or overnight it goes back to normal.

Hey buddy, thanks! Here are some shots of the different things you can change on that extended cluster. You can also go through the idrive and change what is displayed. This shows you how to toggle through. Have fun!! lol

check all of the connections on your battery, one may be a bit loose. if they are all tight check the battery to make sure its still good...mine did the same thing and it was a loose connection on battery...I was scared it was the cluster...hope this helps!!

More likely it's just a software bug.
