This is steering wheel looks amazing🔥. Where did you get it and were you able to keep the heated steering wheel functionality?

Retains vibro but not heat. I’ve never seen a carbon wheel retain the heat function. I’m moving to Phoenix so figured I could get rid of that amenity pretty safely

I got this wheel from a member on here, brand new custom built. It’s perfect in every single way. I would pay someone $100 to find a single flaw in the construction and I’m a fkn perfectionist.

He charges $725 shipped for a brand new carbon wheel. If you’re interested, PM me and I’ll get you his number.

A bunch of the usual stuff (DVD in motion, remote comfort access for windows/side mirrors, trunk closing with remote, etc).

Messed around with the chimes, halo brightness, HUD content, nav warning delete etc. just super easy and kinda fun to play with!

Upgrading front grilles and decided to add some accent by removing and painting the front v-brace bars.

I’ve since replaced the BMS silicone coupler on the turbo side with a 15 degree elbows. If you look closely at my pic, you can see the MAF mounting location is really high and this sucks for two reasons: 1) the harness is under tension in that mounting position and 2) the MAF contacts the heat shield on the underside of the hood. I kept getting intermittent CEL’s related to the MAF after I installed the intakes and it took me a minute to figure out why. If you rotate the intake to gain MAF clearance, it puts the filter too high and then it too gets crushed by the hood. The fit of these is honestly not amazing.

The key is a $300 upgrade. Key conversion can be bought on ebay here for $30 https://www.ebay.com/vod/FetchOrderD...=1809075029013

Coding from a local locksmith runs about $250. This key is indiscernible from an OEM key once you put the new BMW logo on the lock button. It’s fully functional for comfort access and all. I bought two from this seller and had them both coded, and both work flawlessly.
I’ve just fitted BMS intakes and have run into the same issues. Did you try and speak to BMS about this? I’ve just not rotated the intake pipe much as a result the air filter is too high and catches bonnet. Pretty poor. What coupler sizes did you go for? Got any more details? I might have to do the same

The MAF mount is welded way too high. All of these issues would be solved if it were welded more toward the cab. I didn’t speak to them about it, I just didn’t feel like dealing with the excuses. The intakes fit poorly, no way around it.

I picked up a set of 3.5” 30 degree elbows, then cut them to approx 15 degrees which allowed me to rotate the MAF back/lower and still tuck the filter lower as well. Pretty straightforward and way happier with the clearance and fit.
