Yeah, no problem, I knew the whole time you were talking Boxter; I just moved the thought to the Coupe version of each car thinking it was apples to apples - Coupe to Coupe. I just really didn't get the great driving experience from the Cayman I was expecting. The Cayman is a great car, no doubt about it, but in essence I chose the BMW (Coupe) over the Porsche (Coupe). No car guy would kick either out of bed, I'm sure of that.

And I own a flat six in my Honda Valkyrie, so I'm no stranger to the magic of a flat 6.

A manual transmission can be set to "comfort", "sport", and "track" modes simply by the technique and speed at which you shift it; it doesn't need "modes", modes are for manumatics that try to behave like a real 3-pedal manual transmission. If you can money-shift it, it's a manual transmission. "Yeah, but NO ONE puts an automatic trans shift knob on a manual transmission."
