Burning smell (like clutch) after hard drive...

Hi all...
After a short hard drive redlining, I park up in my drive and smell what could only be described as the same smell as a burning clutch...
Others have ruled this out as they are wet clutches and it wouldn't smell....
anyone experienced this? What could it be?
This smell only occurs after a hard drive, usually when in efficiency it doesn't make that smell...

Probably a sticking brake, or you've just been hard on them.

Was your traction control on? Our cars activate the brakes when it's getting out of control and the tires are spinning, you were prob just smelling the brakes from the traction control doing it's job if you had it on.

Yes traction was on and the light did go on a couple of times, that makes a lot of sense thank you really appreciate it

That's prob it. Our T/C is very intrusive but also very good. Most of the time you won't even know it's activating unless you see the light flashing because it's so smooth. Be careful putting it in MDM mode etc. the car gets loose quick.

Could also be a smell from a coolant leak from the turbo coolant lines. Pretty easy to check too - just pop off the engine cover.
