apptest When i include a quote any post, i only see select all option within the quote. Can a select or cut option be included within the quote as well. This way, once can easily remove unnecessary information if the quote is really long.

Try to first double tap a word to select that word, then you can expand the selection and should be able to cut/copy/paste as you wish.

I added a screen shot to show what I mean

Typically i start from the end of the quote and that only gives select all option.

Above suggestion works and thank you.

apptest I’ve noticed that the iOS app can tend to crash when I try to view certain threads in landscape orientation. This can occur whether the phone is already in landscape orientation when I open the thread or if I switch from portrait to landscape with the thread already opened. It also occurs if I have a photo in the thread zoomed to full screen and the switch to landscape orientation.

The crash only seems to occur on photo-heavy threads. These two are a couple examples:On other threads that aren’t photo-heavy, portrait-to-landscape reorientation works just fine.

Thanks for this catch, I believe I understand the problem and will start working on a fix soon 👍

Ok I have it close to being fixed. But had a question for you: Right now, when you go to landscape mode, the images will be full size, so that they can stretch pretty long (to match the natural width of the original image). Do you like that you have to scroll the images a bit to see the whole thing and that most images are basically bigger then the viewport in landscape mode?

I was thinking of limiting the image height in landscape mode so that its still fully viewable, but ill admit I’m a portrait kind of guy, so I would love to hear your opinion before I release the new version

Yeah, good question! I'm mostly a portrait guy myself as well. But there are definitely times when I want to view a "widescreen" image and it just fits better in landscape mode — usually some sort of beauty shot of someone's car or a close up of something in someone's engine bay, that sorta thing.

So, for me, it would be best to have the image be fully viewable, even if that means it doesn't fill the full height of the screen. Then, if I want it to absolutely fill the whole screen, I can always pinch-to-zoom.

Ok I just released the “fixed” version. Seems to work on a mini on my testing but see what you think. Btw thanks for this bug report, it actually uncovered 2 other bugs that maybe nobody noticed but they became obvious as I kept rotating the device so those are fixed too👍👍

Oh, that’s great! And it’s so nice to find/fix a couple more bugs while in there fixing one. That’s a good feeling.

I’ll keep an eye out for the app update!

Stuck in hijack mode again unable to scroll and see what is being typed when replying to a private message with a quote. See screenshot. Honestly there’s nowhere to type and if I do the scrolling doesn’t work. I thought you’d fixed this. Going back to just using a browser on my iPhone to access the site..

I didn’t realize I hadn’t done it, but just submitted a review in the App Store for you. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I wasn’t sold on day 1, but you’ve done a great job on the app, and an even better job of squashing the bugs so quickly.

Does each forum have a set of rules, or a checklist to be able to create a thread and such. App says I do not have permission to create a thread but I can’t find a concrete answer on what the requirements are.

Thank you so much man, it actually does mean a lot since we also get our fair share of hate mail too. Haha! But the app has gotten a lot better too because of all the good feedback. Still grinding away, so just let me know if you have any new issue!
Thanks again!!

Probably need to make some posts that get counted first. Like in the G20 forum, for example.

Having that gray infinite scrolling issue again. I can’t get to the most updated post in this thread. On 5.5.10

Edit: I can’t even get past that on mobile, on desktop I can, but the rest of that thread won’t load past that point in the app.

The only way for me to resolve being able to view this thread past my post was to delete my post. Working fine now.
