Btw guys here are my updated clubsport settings in case anyone is interested. Ended up going through 18 different combinations spread over 2 months to get this setup. I went stiff, I went soft, I basically sampled the full range to see how these felt. It was such a cool experience as each click was easily identifiable in the drivers seat. I'm very pleased with them, awesome upgrade.
Settings are from fully closed, which is hard on KW's. Low speed compression: 3 open High speed compression: 8 open Rebound front: 6 open Rebound rear: 8 open |

Thanks for the informative write up. I was debating over the Clubsport vs. V3 suspension a while back and went with the V3. I'm happy with it but would like to know your experience with the straight rate Clubsport springs as far as initial stiffness for a street ride. Secondly, I was concerned over road noise with the Clubsport elimination of the stock rubber cushion on the upper mounts. Do you get more road noise through the chassis?

Regarding the initial stiffness it is there. I'm not going to sugarcoat it. It does stiff immediately. However I feel it's an adequate stiffness for the chassis. It's like the warm porridge. It could be stiffer and it could be softer, but the rates chosen by KW seem to suit the platform well imo. At least to me, I'm sure far more capable people than myself have different opinions, but you know how that goes. No waiting for the spring to progress at all. I like this though as I had linear springs on my e46 M3. I much rather have the suspension do its thing and be 100% consistent at all times. The keep it simple stupid style of suspension if you will. I plan on getting the Dinan swaybars to help with roll control, don't need a progressive spring to help with it. EDC and progressive springs are too fancy for me. Another plus is they have brought a sense of old school to the F10. I expect the old school to increase even more with the Dinan sways and their monoballs too. Regarding road noise yes there is a little more, but I have an Eisenmann race so sound is the least of my concern. The hard mounts did more for feel though, which is what I wanted. I'm after the whole feel of the beast if you will. That M feeling is just too muted imo stock on this platform. These helped immensely with that. Can't wait to do the Dinan stuff to really improve the feel. The new Velos S10's. Won't say more than that. |

That's awesome! Yeah I have had great experiences with them when I had my e70 X5M. They were one of the few companies who supported the platform. I wanted to continue to show my support for them and their new S10 wheel is just gorgeous.

Thank you sir! Omar them at Velos are awesome so I chose to support them again.
Btw I still have the brembos for the X5M if you want them! Thanks! 21 inch since these are step lip float face. I consider these my fancy wheels. I still like the oem comp 20's and don't plan on getting rid of them. |

Mod Update:
So this past 3 day weekend I attempted to install the following: 1. RKP diffuser in 2x2 2. Mate the Challenge diffuser to the RKP one. 3. Front and rear IND space gray reflectors 4. LED reverse bulbs If you guys saw my post in the random pic thread you have probably figured out something was amiss to say the least. You know how a diffuser install on this car is supposed to be 15 min? How it's so simple a caveman can do it? Well let me tell you guys, I should have found that caveman. It began easy enough. Setup my 'test fit' area. Good thing about wheels is they can stack to be a nice sized bench lol... Ripped off the oem diffuser like a boss. Took the Challenge diffuser over to my 'test fit' area. Tried to fit the Challenge diffuser into the RKP one only to find out that of course it does not fit. I don't know about you guys, but every true carbon fiber piece I have ever had that is not oem required some degree of massaging to get it to fit. i figure this is down to the molds and the assumption that it's better to have an installer remove material than not have enough. So out come my trusty file. This thing has helped me with all of my builds. Shaved the bottom by the push pins as the Challenge was not sliding nicely into the RKP. Had to shave open every tab slot at the top of the Challenge as well. Much better. When two become one. The file of fiber: With the diffusers in perfect harmony it was time to slap them on th car. What I didn't realize however was that during all of my trial and error action mating the diffusers I screwed up the corner tabs of the RKP diffuser. They became soft if that makes sense from maneuvering the piece around. I'm sure the 6 pack motivator might of played a role, but I digress. Popped it on and what?!? Corner why you no stay put? No matter what I did the corners kept popping off. Installed center to outside, left to right, right to left. The corners kept popping. It was not the diffusers fault as it is an oem core. That concluded Friday evening. So on Saturday I was able to take a closer look at everything, daytime and all. I somehow mangled the corner top and side tabs of the diffuser. So after some pacing, some obscenities, etc. it was time to get nuts! Off comes the bumper!!! Why you may ask? So i could get access to where the tabs slot in and perform some ghetto based surgery. I'm too shame to show this part lol, but know they are physically joined at the 4 corner tabs in a somewhat permanent manner. Yes i know this means bumper removal in my future, but it's worth it for perfect fitting parts. As bonus while the bumper was off i took the chance to pop in the reflectors. No messing up the paint or anything. Easily the best reflector install ever. Finished booty shots: On Sunday it was front reflector and reverse led bulb day. I ordered the wrong bulbs type so that was a bust. Front reflectors though were super easy. A tip for anyone who has yet to do it; use a heat gun or hair dryer for a bit to loosen up the adhesive of the stock ones. Makes removal so much easier. Finally some random pics after everything: Until next time! Last edited by m5 guy; 01-17-2017 at 12:43 PM.. |

Awesome. Surprised you didn't throw winters on her and go at it. Probably because you made your beast too nice now. |
