305 MP4S Rubbing

Anyone else experience rubbing going to 305/30/20 MP4S tires? I have a 12mm spacer out back and going from OEM 295/30/20 I'm getting a little rubbing.

Obvious answer is a smaller spacer, but i'm curious if others have ran into some rubbing with these tires. The traction is great, but they're a wide 305 for sure.

I have those tires on mine, but with a 5mm spacer. No rubbing.
I'm also lowered on KW HAS.

I’m also lowered on KW HAS with a 5mm spacer. No rubbing at all. That 12mm is too big.

Interesting. I would have thought that wouldn't fit. Mine is very tight with the 305. What rim are you using?

Thanks for all the replies. I grabbed a 10mm spacer, will report back if it's still rubbing.

Wonder if the KW guys are running enough extra negative camber to tuck in a little better than stock.

No extra camber on mine. Fits nicely with the 5mm and the KW HAS.

You were able to put a 315 on the stock 343 rim? I wouldn't think that would be safe. I think the 315 calls for an 11" rim as per your current set up.

It fits. Lots of people run 315s on the stock wheels.

I’m running the same tire, 10mm spacer, lowered on KW HAS. Rubs very lightly on plastic inner fender only on big deep bumps at high speeds.

Went from 12mm to 10mm, now same as the poster above i only rub on the plastic liner on large undulations at speed. At 12mm I was cutting into the tire from rubbing the metal fender. I bet 8mm would be a no-rub situation.

How about running a 305/30/20 on stock 343m wheels in the rear with no spacers will it rub without spacers or do you need spacers?

This has been my set up for the rear, stock suspension, without spacers, and I have never experienced rubbing.
  • MPSS, 295/30/20 (stock size)
  • MPS4S, 305/30/20 (visually, appeared to be my widest tire so far)
  • Bridgestone RE980, 305/30/20 (visually, appears narrower than same size MPS4S | Bridgestones at a 315 mm width would likely fit) but as suggested by others—it might be pushing it too far
