Multiple warning check lights

Morning guys...

Strange issue over the weekend...car is throwing up multiple warnings on startup (chassis, pedestrian protection, handbrake, ABS...to name a few). Car seems to be in limp mode; no power steering or speed/Revs displayed.

After a quick search it seems to suggest battery is on the way out, so connected to CTEK over the weekend and errors are still throwing up.

Wondering if any of you has had a similar issue before and anything else I can try before booking in with the stealers!!

Thanks
Bal

No it doesn’t...It’s just something I read on the US forum of potential fixes

If the car starts alright I would go into that secret menu and see if alternator is giving out the necessary charge should be around 14V with a/c off. If under 13 then alternator needs checking.

For what it’s worth, I found some post online whereby the exact set of errors (pedestrian, abs, parking brake, restraint system, stabilisation and drivetrain) suggested that a comfort access short on one of the handles will blow fuse 2 - also a fuse for ABS...

Connected to ISTA+ which showed comfort access handles shorted out and also the same errors on the dash, plus no response from DSC module.

I checked fuse 2 and it indeed was blown. Replaced and flashed errors...so far so good.

Next step is to replace comfort access door handles (I think I read that’s a warranty replacement item...?).

It is, and they are a suprising £600 each.

When you put your car in for the warranty repair, make sure they choose the warranty code for the comfort access electronics (which are covered) and not the door handles (which are not covered). As far as I could tell the whole item was replaced anyway.
