Super excited

I was hoping for some opinions regarding chrome deletion (purchasing from IND)
What would you go with yourselves?

a) Front grill -> Gloss black or Matte black?
b) Rear M5 emblem -> Stock, Gloss black or Matte black?
c) Side grill -> Azurite black outer/inner & azurite mesh? Or stock matte black mesh?
d) Side grill LED tint? Light tint, dark tint, frozen light tint or frozen dark tint ? Hard to tell which is which in their photos

Thanks heaps for any opinions
I had to replace my side grills because I had a broke turn signal and the started to get scratched horrendously bad, I personally went IND and the quality was amazing. and I had them painted to match my car(black sapphire metallic) also I went with the outer painted car color the rest matte black and it looks really good.

Welcome and congratulations on the car!

I'd recommend doing gloss black for the grill and the emblems.

Thanks man (:
Decided on gloss for front & rear

Will just think on the side grill a bit more then pull the trigger
You could always wrap it too.

Congrats on the car and welcome to the forum F10M5Nighthawk.

Good to see another Aussie here - I assume you're Sydney based given that you bought the car from Scuderia Graziani? You must have jumped on that car pretty quick as it only got listed late last week.

Nice - I'm in Melbourne too (eastern suburbs).

Yes, depreciation is shocking on M5s IMO - far worse than say the Audi RS6 which was similar money as a new car. Great for used car buyers, less so if you're stumping up for one new...

Sweet whip! Congrats man! For your ride, my 2 cents is try to be uniform all-around. mixing and matching will look less like the car was made that way. gloss black pops more but if you want a stealth look then go matte black.

I've had 2 f10 M5's - both in white.

On my first I wrapped the car in aluminum blue with matte black savinis. it was my first go round and kind of a hot mess tbh.

My current M5 I went with carbon fiber look for chrome delete & graphite sv-f2s https://saviniwheels.com/wheels/sv-f2/ but then switched to gloss black sv-f5s https://saviniwheels.com/wheels/sv-f5/

My IG is thef10m5 but I don't really post anymore so I don't have images of my car with it's current look.

Has the car turned up yet F10M5Nighthawk? If so, happy with the purchase?

Let me know if you want a hand with any coding changes (iDrive disclaimer removals, start/stop deactivation, alarm confirmation tone, VIM, full SMS message display etc) F10M5Nighthawk.

Have you done any mods? I'm def thinking about exhaust & tune, maybe downpipes
No, my M5 is stock. I find they have enough trouble getting the power to the ground in stock trim, let alone with more power.

As Craze says above, we receive the Euro spec car in Australia.

A meet post lock down sounds good F10M5Nighthawk & Craze - would be good to check out a few other local M5s as you don't see too many on the roads.

BTW F10M5Nighthawk make sure you tweak the B&O settings. In the standard settings it sounds very underwhelming, but with the EQ tweaked it sounds quite decent.

Congratulations!

I am surprised by the amount of Melbournites in this thread.

I am in Doncaster and keen to go for a thrash in the hills after lockdown! 😊

Nice M6 GC - I'm surprised I haven't seen your car around as I'm just down the road from you in Mont Albert.

I prefer the Studio setting F10M5Nighthawk.

In terms of the EQ settings, I based my settings on that link and made some minor tweaks from there (such as turning the bass down slightly). Overall I'm fairly happy with the end result (vastly better than the 'out of the box' settings, which as I mentioned before I was very underwhelmed with).

I may have been drifting a private roundabout in 2nd and they all came up at the same time lol.. was pretty distracting

Never happened at lower speeds though when losing traction
Never happened to me, but I can't remember the last time I was punting the car sideways around a roundabout. Some cars do things like that if they 'sense' an accident is imminent (based on inputs like steering angle, wheel speed sensors etc). Maybe that is what triggered it?

Yup, its Frozen Black.

Never had all windows come up at the same time whilst giving any of my M cars a hiding. That is super weird. Better hang it out in 2nd again just to make sure =D
