New iDrive Professional Navigation system (609) on M5?
Just wondering if anyone can confim that the updated iDrive Professional Navigation system (609) [Details] will be on the F10 M5 for 2013 following the July production. Other 5 and 3 series medels look to be slated for this update.

Considering that there was a bulletin about a "material change" for MY2013 which was later confirmed to involve the iDrive computer, I would say it's all but certain.

Best bet would be Matt Russell, M Brand Manager for BMW NA. His handle on the forum is BMWNA_MGuy.

M5 is listed for the new parts from July 2012 Production, just like the rest of the 5 Series (New CIC computer and IDrive screen)
3 Series will most likely get the new software aswell ( It already has teh hardware to run it, unlike the older F10)

Hi E90. I have a December build F 10. Do you think I will be able to upgrade to the new software or will I need additional hardware too ?

I would think the hardware is required, why else would they be changing all the F10 hardware ?
