It's an ok deal. The cap reduction isn't multiple security deposits is it?

How many miles per year?

Thanks for the input!!
No SDs.
I think the cap reduction is what's left from the 5k down payment (after fees, taxes, 1st payment etc.)
This is for 10k miles

Why would I want to do that? What benefit can I get from it?
Thanks for the response

Your MF could go down from 0.00131 to as low as 0.00018.
As to downside, it becomes a significant hassle most times if you want to rid of the lease before the term is up, as most people balk at paying you the MSDs when they takeover a lease.
Even though you paid the MSDs when you started the lease, BMW will return them to whoever is the lessee when the lease term ends.

Also, NEVER put money down on a lease. If you total your car, you're out that $.

240SXFAN gave some good examples of potential issues with using Multiple Security Deposits (MSD's) but that is still the preferred way if you wish to buy down your monthly payment.

You meant 0.00082?
For each SD the MF reduces by 0.00007 for total of 0.00049 (7 SD)...

Nope! I waited too long and it was sold a day before I came back.
I'm killing myself on loosing this one.
2016 running a bit higher in terms of lease payments goes. It is hard to negotiate the selling price of the car.
I hope I'll find same or better deal soon
