is there an easy way to see what map your nav is currently running? just picked up a 16 CPO and don't know if they loaded it with the latest update. THanks.

If you press the Nav button on the controller to pull up the map, then press the Options button and scroll down to Navigation System Version.

No, NBT systems only get 2 releases a year typically. A -1 release (typically around September) and a -2 release (around Feburary/March).

The current version for the NBT in North America is 2019-1 (recently released) and in Europe it's 2018-2 (2019-1 is due anytime now).

so I just checked mine and it is Road Map NORTH AMERICA Next 2015-2

I could definitely use the upgrade.

Does this simply upgrade the maps or does it change anything else as to the look and feel of the navigation?

It doesn't change the look and feel of the navigation, nothing does short of physically replacing the hardware of the navigation.

I'm no longer a vendor on BimmerPost so I'm not permitted to PM pricing and such. But I'm always available via email to answer any questions, regarding the navigation system or otherwise.
