It's actually the second release. 2017-1 was released in August/September and 2017-2 was released just a week or so back.

Next release will be 2018-1 around the Aug/Sep timeframe, and so on.

Wanted to say thanks for the update for my 2013 M5. Nav has been updated with the newest 2017-2. Dracon was very prompt on a couple of questions that I had...in the end, the update went very smoothly. Appreciate it.

Australia 2017 maps are all already out (except for Motion). Won't see a 2018 version until late November.

Easily. Hit the navigation button to go into the navigation menus, then press option and scroll down to navigation system version. It'll tell you the version installed.

Maybe there's a good reason I'm not aware of, but when I read over the past posts on your map updates, you always answer the questions with a PM. Other than pricing questions, why not post the answers to the forum? I still have questions about the update process that I'm sure you've answered hundreds of times. Regardless, thanks for the service you provide.

As far as questions, I try to answer any general questions asked in the forum post for the benefit of others. A lot of the time, questions around the update process itself are asked during the course of PM'ing/emailing back and forth.
