Coding cheatsheet
Heres a much more readable cheatsheet than the other that's floating around and contains info for pre and post LCI:

Ask, and ye shall receive
![]() The How-To guide is based upon E-Sys 3.1X.X and the current version is 3.2X but the screens are similar enough that my version-dated How-To guide is still good enough.

I've also created this very clunky spreadsheet so that I can chose functions to code, then re-sort the spreadsheet by ECU. Coding by ECU, instead of By Function, is much more efficient. This is targeted at the non-M F10, so some functions are not relevant to the M5. The "Technology" column is just a way to discriminate between older and newer F10s. The newer have the HU-NBT. The older, like mine, have the HU_CIC.
In order to view the attachment correctly, delete ".pdf" from the end.

I have one add for you: To turn off amber side-marker safety lights: FRM>3060>FRM_EFFEKTIV, 20 / U_EFF_SM_V, to turn off set to Wert_01, Werte=00 FYI this doesn't work on 2014 with LEDs. It does work on 2013 with Xenon.

Hi guys,
Can anyone tell me how to program a new headlight driver module on a 2014 bmw 5 series using esys? I replaced both headlights due to front end damage, used the original modules on the right side and everything works fine. However, on the left side, I had to buy a brand new driver module. I am able to connect to esys and code some things, but not able figure out how to program the vin on to the new driver module. Thanks! |

LHML = Left LED Main headlight module. LHMR = Right LED Main Headlight Module. You can use E-sys or ISTA-P. ISTA+ requires ICOM. |
