I think this shows how underrated the F90 is along with how efficient the AWD system is with the new ZF tranny. A DCT is the most efficient tranny out and with a 640 whp F10 losing from a roll- the F90 definitely has the power in the right rpms.

Yea man honestly I think a lot of people underestimate these cars especially from rolls. But I had an 650whp m6gc and that same f10 would pull on me to about 150-160 then I would edge him off up top around 175-185. His car is deff very fast it was running fine and we did about 15 times runs back and forth from 20roll , 40roll , 60roll and this was the outcome everytime. He was actually in shock :

I love it... and all the DCT fanboys LOL (Im one too) need to understand that tq converting trannys with the right software can kick major ass. Of course gearing, drag, and power in the curve all are factors among others but some of those DCT holdouts probably need just to drive the F90.

I actually really have enjoyed the ZF in 3 out of 4 of my cars in the past- all tuned and very fast (RS7's, Jag F Type R, and a random Bentley GT3R).

Trust me brother I had 3 F10 m5's and M6gc I loved the DCT. The new ZF is so different but I love it in every aspect. The delivery is so smooth it's insane. I always said I never liked AMG because of how smooth the delivery was and you didn't feel that aggressiveness like you would with an M. But now it's safe to say they transformed the M with a little bit of an AMG feel and it's amazing!

Oh I knew you had alot of them as did I (4 BMW DCT's and many other rides with dual clutches via Porsche, Ferrari, Benz, etc).

But with all that, I really enjoyed my tuned RS7 and the ZF-- like you said, butter smooth and can handle all that tq. There were days where I would drive that car and then swap to a DCT/PDK/Dual Clutch car and the difference was negligible at best.

I thought the F10 (with 640HP) would have competed better, attached is a test on the stock F10 M5 Jahre, 0-280km/h is very fast, in this test against the older E63S, it's actually faster than the F90 in another test. Granted they aren't tested at the same time but F10 with a good tune should be at least as fast in a roll.

I'm not saying the F90 isn't fast, because it's very fast and DCT / ZF8 operations aside, has anyone considered that 640whp on whatever tune and on whatever dyno that the F10 was tested on is not actually making 640whp? Dyno numbers can be so hit and miss as well as different tuners. But the video clearly shows the F90 accelerating well, while the F10 can't keep up. This is why vBox numbers are more reputable when it comes to testing power. By my judgment of the video, my opinion sways to the side of the equation where the F10 is not actually making its reported power output, it seems to be lower. Again, just my opinion based on the evidence shown.

I understand what you guys are saying but this same F10 I've raced against my 600whp active autowerke piggy F10 and it would walk me. Also with my 650whp m6 it would actually pull on me until about 185 lol But I mean who knows maybe the tune wasn't running "correctly" it's a Bootmod3 stage 2 OTS with catless downpipes car deff was running strong no question about it. At the end of the day the F90 isn't no slouch and all the people that thought it would get smoked from a tuned F10 were proved wrong.

Eventually we will see more of these types of tests and have a better idea of the differences between them.

My non tuned M6 GC picks up speed as quickly as this "tuned" M5 F10. No way this car is tuned.

I did not say that, although something is pretty darn wrong with the tune in this M5. No way in hell this car has 640whp
