SOLD - M5 (F10) Carbon Fibre Interior Trim Set
*** NOW SOLD ***
Hi Guys, Per title, a complete set of CF trim pieces from my 2014 LCI M5. Not sure whether these specific pieces changed between pre-LCI and LCI (I've never seen both models side by side to compare) 4 x Door top trims Dashboard trims, main left (passenger) section with lovely ///M Performance logo inset Right hand dashboard section Centre console base (surrounding ashtray, iDrive and gear selector) Ashtray cover Centre console storage compartment cover As mentioned, my car was an LCI model so I can't say for certain whether the pre-LCI F10 models had the same interior trim. The only slight flaw is on the ashtray cover, with a hairline imperfection in the lacquer next to the silver trim; I'm sure this would polish out with some very fine abrasive paper. Every other piece is absolutely immaculate, not a scratch or dink. Each piece fits beautifully, has all the correct clips and enhances the interior beyond belief. It makes the M5 look like the premium car it is; by contrast, when I refitted the originally supplied aluminium hex trim, it looked like any other "cooking model" 5-series. Would prefer buyer to spare the time to come and collect it (Sandwich in Kent) to avoid any clumsy courier handling, but I can box up if required. Shipping isn't that cheap because of insured value, but the choice is yours. I believe that these parts, as a kit, are no longer available from BMW. When it was available, it was almost £2k. Beautifully made and feel really substantial. I wish my M2C had this quality CF, but alas.... Was originally looking for £900 but to be fair we're coming up to Xmas and there are other things folks are focussing on (plus time-wasters who have messed me about).....so....willing to let it go for £700 ovno + shipping (or you can collect) I've now removed this from eBay, too many low-ball offers, and while I can thoroughly appreciate "don't ask, don't get", I'm not going to take that big of a hit. I'd rather hang onto it until situations change (sorry to be blunt). Please either DM me or my email is spencer.a.baker@gmail.com Cheers Spencer Last edited by spenny_b; 11-16-2020 at 12:29 PM.. It really is a doddle to install. There's no wrenching of parts, just some gentle persuasion. Even having never done it when I installed the set, it took me perhaps an hour to go steadily and swap the pieces out. The centre console piece needs some care, protecting the gear knob with a duster, but it's nothing I'd dream of engaging a specialist to do. When I came to swap it back out when the car was sold, it maybe took me no more than 45mins. Hope that helps? Spencer. |
