Stock or SSP Clutch ???

I think I'm feeling a little slippage under 75-90% throttle. The car is currently pushing about 637 whp and 650 wtq. Mods are:

BPM Stage 2 tune
Fabworx Downpipes
Eisenmann Full Sport Exhaust

I'm hearing the stock clutch kit should be fine as long as I don't get the torque up too high. But I'm also hearing the SSP kit might be too rigid due to not having more than 700 wtq.

I also don't want to lose the drivability as this is my daily driver. Thoughts?

I've contemplated this exact question myself. I've figured unless you want to exceed those power numbers I will go with stock clutch for drivability since mine too is a daily driver.

I've wondered this myself too since my car is my daily as well. Can anyone who has switched to the SSP clutch comment on the driveability of SSP vs stock?

Everyone I've talked to says it drives like stock. Except for when they go into reverse there's a loud clunk. But other than that, it feels stock.

SSP feels like stock. The measurement of the stack height size needs to be correct. Or else the adaptation may not complete correctly
I have used SSP for many F chassis M cars with little to no issues. Only issue would be a disc was the wrong size sent during shipping. Not an issue as SSP sent the correct disc

The upgraded baskets are great as well.
Stock clutch discs work great in my opinion. If you have miles on the car and are increasing the performance then its a good upgrade.

Thanks. Great feedback.

So you recommend doing SSP clutch discs and the baskets? Does SSP also sell the baskets?

Yes Kris @ SSP sells the baskets.
The disc upgrade is useful for high power builds that are exceeding the limitations of the stock discs. In my opinion, not that many are truly needing to use them. Just my own opinion.
Personally I would run stock clutches with the ssp baskets.
If you are constantly drag racing / tracking the car then upgrading the discs would be favorable
SSP makes great products. Kris has a lot of cars running his setups with various power levels.
