FANTASTIC photos !

it's funny how they break out the color palette for the M events... but the cars on the showroom floor are general BMW greyscale plus Blue.

I put that in quotes because REAL road courses used to be made on actual roads, with all the danger and technical challenges that entails.

Why is moto such a badass motorsport? You've got highly variable surfaces with variable traction, you have to balance your machine and constantly adjust your body position as well as steer brake and accelerate, there are bumps and huge jumps that require not only skill but massive balls to clear. Then there's the fact that if you get much out of line, you're going down. There are few things that will teach you how to manage traction as well as hauling ass with two wheels on the dirt. There is also WAY more skill transfer from bike to car than vice versa, so you can legitimately consider it cross-training to a degree.

Don't forget, there is a rally course in the works at ADV and it's gonna kick serious ass.
Cool story bro...

P.s. No one cares. Seriously though, climbing Mt. Everest would be a hell of a good time, but there is a reason you don't see most of us on climbing forums or lining up at the base to give it a go. Jobs, children, the list goes on. I used to wheelie down the freeway on my old Yamaha rice burner my freshman year of college sans helmet. Never got hurt, but looking back..damn was I stupid, and looking at everything I have now, I was risking so much and didn't even know it. At some point it just behooves us to grow up and draw some lines. Because Darwinism.

+1 while I don't think the moto is anywhere near Everest... we also all have selected our hobbies.... and attempting to get people to switch to a new hobby mid thread.. well that is kinda crazy.

Such a pity.

As I have said before, I saw two cars that really stood out at my local dealer, a Ferrari red M4 and a Marina blue M5. Made the rest of the cars look ordinary.

Anyone do the full day experience and can review?
It seems a bit far to drive for 4 hours with a few laps of lead/follow.. not a real track day..

It is worth it, I drove from NH to NY last year and will be doing it again this year.
