You can technically write off a lease too. Makes no difference.
Not the insurance not the taxes not the property taxes plus you're bound in the term of the lease with the residual you can't change cars etc etc

Maybe come down a tad more but it's not too far off for the M tier. The M6 was easily 1600-1800 a month. M5 was 1200-1400. All Zero cap reduction lease pricing.

I do like the idea of splitting the Ms. Everyone who's complaining here is basing it mainly on the M3 which is obviously the cheapest to lease and it's not even offered by this subscription.

Bad drivers also make out better with this. My sister, terrible, terrible driver, pays about 7k a year (I know cause I pay) for her 15 Honda Civic. My Gen2 r8 annual is only 1300$, full cover.

They also need to roll out nationwide access. This is where you'll get a huge demand. Drop off at an airport, arrive and get another at the other airport. The few Hertz dream car I have rented were easily between 700-1400 a day. Weekly is cheaper. The M5 weekly I paid, pretty sure, 2200.

That's the only tier I was also agreeing with you on.

The other ones are way too inflated.

1400 for an M2, X5 and so on is probably cheaper than swapping cars every few months to a year and taking a 7-10k hit from depreciation.

2700 for M tier is outrageous though. I can lease all those cars together for a few more hundred dollars.

The Legend tier, IMO, makes the most sense. I would do it in a heartbeat when it comes to NY.

Their plan includes 2,000 miles/month, which is roughly what I do in a month. Leasing a car with 20-24k miles/year, plus insurance & maintenance is not cheap.
The ability to be able to switch between a m2 on the weekends, x3/5 on the weekdays & winter, and a vert in the summer is worth the small premium of the program.

They are all optioned really well. The concierge noted most of the cars include the heads up display and leather. (Not sensatec).

All the cars have wireless CarPlay included.

My first car, an M2, appears almost fully optioned. I'll post more later as I play with it more!

It'll be very interesting to see how what your experience is. Although the price may seem high, if it's really a put gas in and drive, change it up when you feel like it, deal, I can see the attraction.

You don't even have to put gas in! It comes up fully gassed. Other than long trips, I'm doubting I'll ever keep a car long enough to visit the gas station.

This is how everybody should be looking at it. The program is only going to get better, not worse also.

Insurance with a 300 deductible for my M4 at 26 is $115 and my monthly finance payment is $800 so if I'm paying 2600 I'd expect a huracan in my driveway and for $1400 I would expect an i8 and not an M2

I can see how this will work for SOME but sure as hell won't work for most

I'd absolutely do this for my wife, as the montly fee would be less than what it costs tosay. But she has a terrible driving record. The requirements clearly say you must have a clean driving record. Too bad.

I am only about five days into my subscription. Having driven an M4 as my daily driver the past couple of days I've noticed that it is way too much car. And the thing just begs to be driven and I have nothing but traffic and stoplights.

Right now I am very comfortable with the legend tier and I feel the price point is much more reasonable. I still get a few free upgrades days a month to M tier when I get the opportunity to really go for a drive.

Your M4 is an $800 finance payment because you either put a bunch of money down, bought used, and/or got a shit long loan term.

The cars are actually new. The M4 I'm driving right now has 400 miles on it. All of the cars are new for the program and then get cycled out at 15k miles.

I agree with s.hasan. Your comparison is off. Many cars have similar lease vs finance monthly payment but lease is 3 years vs finance being dragged out 5 years (common terms).

And because these sub cars are swapped out with new ones every 1-2 years, even comparison with a 3 year lease is unfair. The subscription structure is essentially a 24k miles, 1 year lease. But 1 year leases are way too rare, we can only use their lease price point with a slightly more common 2 year term pricing to gauge value.

With utmost certainty, no way would bmw keep using the same car well into year 2. Dealers like to unload their loaner way before 10k miles.
