Formula 1 Grosser Preis Santander Von Deutschland 2012

We're already half way through the season. And this is one of the most unpredictable season in recent years.
  • Vettel got his hands tied up with tire strategy and driving a car will less advantage compare to others.
  • Webber is more confident and a good chance to challenge the championship again.
  • Hamilton matured this season and much fewer silly mistakes (just one in Valencia this season), but always fawked up by the pit crew.
  • Button is miserable after the third race this season. Same excuse every single time, the rear just got no grip.
  • Alonso is showing how good he is with a shitty car in the beginning. True leader of the Scuderia.
  • Massa is fighting for his job and career in F1. He need to show that he can be a valuable assistant to Alonso and Ferrari.
  • Rosberg still lack of "something" despite a win, and Mercedes could've been one of the fastest car but just lack luck (?) to win again.
  • Schumi just absolute bad luck earlier this season.
  • Raikkonen is fast in most of the races, but seems lack of aggression compare to some other drivers.
  • Grosjean is showing what he can do with a better car. Much better compare to his debut season with a lawn mower.
  • Kobayashi is hiding under radar so far. Perhaps doesn't have to car for him to perform aggressive overtakes, and strapped by usual one stop (or one less stop from others).
  • Perez shines is doing pretty well this season. Look forward to see more from him.
  • Maldonado can be winning races if he keep his cool and calm. But ridiculous retaliation when he lost his mind. He needs to learn racing etiquette.
  • Senna, perhaps people were expecting too much because of his name.
  • Toro Rosso is still RBR's training ground and seems getting slower and slower.
  • Force India is either hit or miss in some races, sometimes we see both Hulkenberg and Di Resta qualified into Q3 and haul some good points. But quite inconsistent results.
  • Caterham is keeping steady pace in improvement. I want to see them get a few points this season.
  • Marussia looks going nowhere, and HRT is still a joke.

Feel free to post your mid-season thoughts.

Hoping Schumi will shine in his home GP!

And, as usual, despite being a huge fan, I'm expecting Button to do horribly.

I've got pretty much the same thoughts as you, really! like the idea.

Can't WAIT to be in Germany next year! Going to SO MANY races. And as long as the Ring is still around I'll have some good times there as well.

Mid way point, and the top 3 on the WDC table seem to be the main contenders (FA, MW and SV). I'd expect this picture to potentially change (contenders to stay the same but with a chance of it being in a different order) over the course of the next 2-4 races. Given the European races continue with Hockenheim, Hungaroring, Spa and Monza the leading teams of Ferrari and RB will be fighting for the podiums (unless MacLaren come up with some new design innovations very quickly).

I'm still expecting Lotus (Kimi and/or Grojean) to take at least 1 win before the season is out.

I think Button has had a very poor season. I don't see Hamilton struggling with the car as much as Button has. This weekend I put my money on Alonso or Hamilton (I'm a Button fan so it makes it hard for me to say those two

Weather report is just partly cloudy with a slight chance of Maldonado crashing.
Go Schumi.

Na, Vettel should stay out of the podium for the rest of the season.

This is between Fernando and Mark until the end.

My thoughts exactly.

I'd love to see Schumacher get another podium, what a run of bad luck he's had this season. A little disappointed that Hamilton has fallen behind--I hope Maclaren gets their act together soon.

(Although if I hear Button complaining about traction one more time... )

And Maldonado...sigh.

Seeing how Red Bull seem to have finally sorted out their exhaust, I expect them to be real strong for the rest of the season.

To point out, Maldonado hasn't scored a single point since his win a Catalunya.

So close to Hockenheim and once again I can't be there

Hoping for Alonso to continue the charge and Massa to finally get a podium sooner than later, but would honestly like to see Webber win his first championship.

on Maldo-crasho, motorsport.com has an article with video where they show him under red flag causing an accident back in his GP2(I think) days and also in Hockenheim against Grosjean. He needs to get a zapper placed in his car and when he gets close to causing an accident............

^yep Maldonado and Grojean coming together was a very common sight in GP2.

I still can't fathom how he managed to win a GP2 Drivers Championship.
