DCT ashtray replacement

Hey all, I'm pretty new to the forums. I picked up a 2013 f10 m5 DCT about a month ago now and am absolutely in love with it . She's jet black on black with b&o package. I'll post some pics below!!

I had a question regarding the ashtray. As you all know the DCT ashtray is where the 6mt cup holder would've been. I never use it. I'm curious if anybody here has attempted removing the ashtray and replacing it with a cup holder like on the 6MT?

By the title of your thread I thought that something happened to your ashtray like something happened to mine (mine was stolen, long story), but what you are asking, I don't think that is possible. Also FYI, the Ashtray in the F10 M5 costs $26 bucks to replace, for an ASHTRAY, and as I found out the hard way, no we cannot keep coins in the ashtray compartment without the ashtray, smaller coins wiggle their way down into the console.

Lol nah nothing happened to it. However, noted no coins in the ashtray!!

I guess I'll just have to do the LCI cup holder upgrade.

LOL yes the chapstick holder . Its totally Useless. I wouldn't even use it for ash!!
