Spotify and iDrive issue

I've searched the forum with no luck and there are a few posts from google that mention this problem, but with no solution.

When I stream Spotify through bluetooth audio, whichever track is playing first is the only track that is displayed. When I advance the track, the next track plays, but the first track's info (album art and track name) are still displayed. It's a minor issue, but was just curious if others have experienced this and if it's the same with Android users. I'm using iOS 7 at the moment.

In our Mini Cooper, using the same phone, the tracks display properly. I know there is some similarity between the idrive and Mini's system so it surprises me they don't act the same.

Just curious if others have noticed the same behavior. My head unit was defective from the factory and had to be replaced immediately. Didn't know if that had anything to do with it.

It's normal the same thing happens with me. Hopefully they'll come out with an update one day that supports spotify.

Yup, happens when plugged into iDrive. If I listen to Spotify I just use bluetooth audio. Works fine.

Me too ... pain in the ass. Happened back on 2013 and now 2014 cars.
Also, if I reconnect bluetooth while nav system was already on, I have to switch to a different source then back to the phone to get any sound out of spotify.

havent tried spotify yet, but with pandora over bluetoot I get the same issue. Didnt get this same problem with my 7series.

Hmm this is very recent? I've been using Deezer.
