how to get software 2.255.62 on car

i have 2014 M5. currently, my software version is 2.039.62. I absolutely hate the fact that my meta data for bluetooth is not updated when the track changes.

I have noticed that version 2.255.62 has resolved this issue.

Is it possible to get 2.255.62 on my car? bmw genious and dealership are not able to provide support for this issue.

NBT Update

From what i understand, i need to have my NBT update to NBT_I. Currently i have NBT_G.

However, dealership claims i have the latest for my car, even though i have shown examples where older cars have had the same update successfully.

Any thoughts?

Tom

Ah, now I understand the question. From what I know NBT_G is a part of the latest software update for the F-10 M5. New versions are normally released once a year (March).

If your having Bluetooth issues I suggest installing the latest connecteddrive update (UPD05062). You can find it here.

I have TN-002.039.062/MN-002.039.060. No issues with Bluetooth and an iPhone 6+.

Odd - I have the same setup. However, with Bluetooth my car will display only the first track title. As I change the songs, the track title is never updated further.

I have another appointment Tuesday so fingers crossed.

Try deleting the Bluetooth connection on the car and phone, reconnect and hopefully that will fix it.

Update - dealership upgraded mine do nbt_i - then installed 2.255..62. Software and everything works.

I've heard rumors I can't code my car anymore but for me this was more important.

I'm glad to see you got things sorted. Im going to contact V12 about the coding rumor. I really hope it's not true.

I was able to get in contact with V12 this morning, and thankfully it's just a rumor. BMW did make changes to the UI used during coding, short story: it will be more difficult for novice coders but coding still works for the F10 M5.

I have the same problem as well with bluetooth, but my versions are MX-003.005.004/TX-003.005.008. Whats the difference between TN/MN and TX/MX?

And how do I get NBT_I update? I can't find anywhere in the settings which version I have. The Naviagtion>About menu doesn't list it.

Is your idrive cic or nbt?

Have you checked with your dealer to see if there are any updates?
