F10 M5
Hi guys new to this forum iam thinking of getting an F10 m5 if I do will be on the forum on a regular basis , I currently have an E46 M3 that I’ve owned and restored to its former glory and I think it’s time to let it go iam a little apprehensive to say the least , I’ve heard good and bad views more bad tbh my brother had one or about 140 miles then it seized and cost about 11k to rebuild could some one point me in the right direction as I really like these cars regards Phil

Hi mate, welcome to forum.
There's no long life guarantee with these, your brother was just unlucky but most of these are looked after well regularly oil serviced and if they drive fine then you should be okay. Just do the usual checks and listen to the engine for any unusual noises like rumbles or knocking and what's to remember with these is a slow warm up with low revs until that oil temp gets to normal. |

Had mine for 4 years. Sitting at around 47k miles. Only things Ive had to fix were the turbo coolant lines and all of the lower control arms. The coolant lines are a very common issue which is an easy fix.
Ive done a ton of maintenance and I always warm the car up. I make it between oil changes(5k miles) without having to top off the oil. Brake pads, rotors, plugs, coils, and fluids all changed as maintenance items.
