This is an absolutely scary fast car. In every test I've seen, the M5 faster than the Turbo S once it gets rolling. AWD is great to get off the line, but once rolling the parasitic losses are higher than 2WD, so the M5 puts more power to the ground. Surprising they haven't figured that out.

Sick, especially for a sedan. I can't imagine this drivetrain in a lighter car.

This just traps 120.
They wont make the M3 faster so we have to figure about 117mph traps on the new M3. They will respond well to tuning though, which will be nice. |

Given the M5 numbers, I seriously can't wait to see what the M3 is going to do. Fast in the straight line and the ability to eat corners.

You get the idea.... I haven't looked at the M5 since September and don't have the time anymore to memorize every mode in every one of the 30+ variants BMW is churning out. It sure isn't "Comfort" and if I was writing for print I would be sure to fact check :roll eyes:

Yo Gabba Gabba is a kid show on one of the kid tv channel. Most people with kids know what it means. I just re-read the review.
If you happen to be lapping the Nuerburgring with the kids in the back seat, they can watch the two monitors hanging off the back of each front seat. How many kids have experienced "Yo Gabba Gabba" at 150 mph? |

Aggressive tune, downpipe, exhaust and some DR's and this car will run a 10.9. What a great improvement over the e60.

Regarding the engine comparison between the new and old M5, normal aspirated high-rev engine is much more sophisticated and wanted for the guys who appreciates high-tech engine technology. But of course a turbocharged engine has its positive points as well. Blistering torque figures.

Awesome numbers; 121 MPH for a stock luxury sedan is incredible. I am curious to see what this beast can do with a tune. A tune only CLS63 went 10.8@128... we'll see if the M5 can match that.

Motortrend's numbers are always faster than other publications because they do rolling starts of about 5mph. Although I prefer the E60's stiffness, rawness, and S85 howl compared to in-car speakers making the noise, you can't deny that this car is fast.

Yeah, I doubt the BMW can do that though... the CLS has an extra liter of displacement, I am hoping for the best though.
Me too although is that car tune only? If it is, I'll be impressed... if it isn't, then the Benz AMG engines will be superior.
