Correct, you'll download the map archive, extract it and place it on a USB stick.

You can use a Mac or PC, however, Mac has a couple special instructions. Since OSX/macOS places hidden files on the drive, they must be cleaned before the navigation can read the USB stick. You can use a utility like Blue Harvest to clean the drive after the map is copied to it.

You'll need a 32gb USB stick or larger. The drive can be formatted as FAT32 or exFAT (exFAT is only supported on the NBT navigation system on 2013+ 5-series vehicles).

Talk about quick!!! Ordered the new maps earlier today and Dracon sent them to me already. I haven't installed them yet, I probably will tomorrow, but just wanted to say thanks for the quick t/a Andrew.

Many Many thanks managed to get files downloaded and uploaded to the car thanks to help from Andrew.... If you are not 100% tech savvy have your kids do it probably save you time and energy....also a 32g USB is only good for 28.5g and files are 28.8 so just get a 64g.....
