Water ingress problems

Any one suffered any water ingress problems from either the door membranes or the grommet in the bulkhead

My car is currently with BMW being repaired...Im looking at a 2k bill as the car has been stripped and been told its not covered under warranty...I will be challenging this decision with BMW centrally though as I have found evidence that this appears to be a widespread problem. At the very least I will be asking for a gesture of good will

By the way I had the driver side door membrane, the passenger side membrane and the grommet itself all fail within a week of each other! how jinxed am I... Its gonna be fixed just want to know if its a fight I can actually win based on anyones experience on here
