Are all of your numbers wheel horse power?

I am confused as when I look at a standard M5 in the UK the Torque is 525ft/lbs with the BHP showing around 580bhp but on your graph for a standard car is 525ft/lbs and 525bhp which I assume is WHP

It looks like yours is torque at the crank but bhp at the wheels which is odd.

Can you advise

Also what's the safe limit on the gearbox as I thought it was 550ft/lbs but the increase now goes above this to nearly 600, again is that wheels or crank

Thanks

Sorry, I didn't see your questions until now. Yes, all our dyno charts are from a Dynojet chassis dyno. This means that all the numbers are measure *at the wheels*. This goes for both TQ and HP.

There is no general consensus on what the max safe torque limit is for the transmission. But we like to keep things reasonable (under 600lb-ft at the wheels) since this improves drivability and top end power.

I raced my friends 2016 C63s yesterday and he didn't stand a chance. C63s had no cats and full exhaust.

2nd 3rd gear pulls multiple times and I was pulling away by 4 5 car lengths and still pulling away easy.

Best part?? Everyone of our friends thought his car was faster lol

Just cause its loud, doesnt mean its fast!!

Do you feel safe running the 93 map with the octane booster? From everything I've heard/seen about the octane booster is that they don't work, granted it's been a few years since I really researched it but I just didn't think it worked. Does openflash advise using it to run the 93 map?

We have tested many different octane boosters and found that Lucas Oil octane booster works very well. For 91oct folks (CA, AZ and NV), adding a 15oz bottle to a tank of 91oct will bump octane to 93oct. We see about 20hp difference on the dyno between straight 91oct and 91oct+lucas oil octane booster

Interesting, that is good to know as I am in Utah and unfortunately we only have 91 immediately available as well.

Can you feel a significant difference using it with the 93 map over the 91 map?

What do you guys think about adding 3 gallons of E85 with the rest 91, which calculates to 93 octane, with the stage 1.1 93 oct maps? Or better to have a dedicated e30ish+91 map with adjusted scalars?

Hi, Do you think the tune will work with 95 Ron gas in China? I guess our gas quality is worse than 91 octane in the states. Will this be a problem to use the tune outside of US?

Thank you!
