F10 M5 cameras not working consistently. Anyone seen this?

Hey all, running into an odd issue here. My reverse camera and side cameras don't work consistently. They never work when the car is first started and it usually takes 45 mins to an hour before they do actually work. Function seems to vary with outdoor temperature, the colder it gets the longer it takes for them to function again. Seemed to start in late November / December. Very odd.

Anyone run into this? It's quite annoying.

I have the same problem, but it is on my 550. I've had every camera replaced, and the side views are being replaced right now. Glad this is a lease.

No issue here turns on every time I am in reverse regardless of warm up time .

I would assume is software. Did you have your car coded?

New F15 had this problem and BMW replaced the sensors to less sensitive ones I believe.
Good luck with the issue.

Sensors eh? Interesting... I figure it might be a camera problem. I imagine if one fails they all fail.

I am having it taken in so they can do what they do. At least it is not intermittent, it happens all the time, so they'll be able to test to make sure whatever they do fixes it.

Update, turns out it was the ECU for the cameras going belly up. They replaced this:

P/N: 66539302258

http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...=66&fg=05&hl=3

Did some searching for fun, it's only a $450 part. Not bad. Love having warranty though While it was in, I had 4800km to go before oil service but they did it anyway. Also fixed my issue with the iDrive rebooting periodically by reflashing it.
