where is the front collision camera?

On the way in to work this AM I got the front collision warning system camera obstructed warning. I was hoping google would quickly show me a picture of the camera location but have surprisingly failed. Is it on the back side of the rear view mirror, and if so, is that the only one?

I did wash my car last night, was a little worried I had damaged it with the hose, but if it's behind the glass, probably just left a smudge on the windshield.

Check for maybe moisture. If not just give it a good wipe down.

There it is. It could be due to glare on sunrise or sunset. Do you have night vision? If it happens again, maybe its a bad sensor or module.

If you look closely, there are 2 cameras where noted in the post above. They are in the housing that the rearview mirror mounts to

thanks all, and interesting. I was headed east directly into the sunrise, so that could be it. Regardless, I wiped off the glass and thus far it hasn't popped up again.

Sunrise or sunset when the sun is low in the sky and in direct line with the camera you will get this warning. It is the same thing that happens to your eyes when you stare right at the sun and get that floating blindspot in your vision.

I'm getting this same warning, and I do have night vision. The night vision camera is working just fine. I assume it's the same one on the upper windshield?

Was this an option or is that camera on all F10's (I have a '16 CP; no night vision)?

The night vision cam is in the front grille next to the M5 badge.

yeah, I was wondering if the night vision cam is responsible for the accident avoidance system or not. I assume it's not.

I'll take it to BMW
