Any M5 owners see idrive option to disable in cabin active sound function?

Someone speculated in another thread that there might be an option in the new m5 idrive that allows you to disable the active in-car soundtrack feature. Any owners out there that can confirm or deny this? :

I speculated and I bet it is a hidden screen option.

Very few M5's out there but I am sure someone will find a way to get into the dealer programming screens...

There is an article that explains the fuse you need to remove in order to disable active sound. It's impossible via iDrive.

Here's the Automobile article that explains the Active Sound, and what fuse you need to pull to eliminate it. It's the amplifier fuse #200 rated at 40 amps. If you eliminate the active sound, you lose the entire audio system.

That's too bad. And I'm really curious how this works with aftermarket exhaust. Guess you just keep hearing the factory sound being played in the car supplemented with the exterior sound from the aftermarket exhaust. :

That's got to be ridiculous. I'm sure the aftermarket people will come up with a fix, although it might have to involve an ECU reflash.

If the M5 was somehow amplifying the actual sound of the engine in real time through the speakers, though would be one thing (I'd still think it was silly). But the fact that it's playing a pre-recorded sound file of the M5 doing a dyno run is utterly ridiculous.

I'm sure tuners will be able to flash this off.

Its a completely independent system that generates and feeds the sound into the sound system. No ECU flash will disable this.
Maybe unplugging the control box, but this may bring up errors.
There are actually 2 different versions of the system depending on which sound system you have

The car is supposed to be way too quite inside without it
