To be honest I think the new M5, CLS63, E63 are all just awesome cars. There are comparos where the M5 won, comparos where the E63 or CLS63 won. The stats/numbers on these cars are so close, it is crazy.

absolutely not, Lexus might not have been building the stiffest chassis and sportiest cars in the past, but that all changed when ISF came out, then LFA and the new GS, especially with the current direction they are taking, not even BMW can keep up, just read all the reviews on how much better GS is comparing to a 5 in terms of handling and track times. I drove my friend's new GS350 F, wow what a car, beautifully made just like Lexus should, and the handling is marvelous Jag screams cheapness and uglyness, open a door on any Jag you'll know what I mean, and get inside, look and feel the buttons and the cheap plastic they use, gross and beyond. |

I knew something smelled a little funny when I read this:
"jaguar's minimalist cabin remains the most visually appealing" huh ?????? But it wasn't until I read this, that I knew this article was total trash: "The Jaguar XFR may finish with the lowest score, but when we asked testers to select the car they'd most like to own, it suprisingly got more votes than the M5!" YEAH, RIGHT

Very interesting read and thanks for posting - can't have been easy with the way it's all been 'stitched' together into something so coherently polished!
Living in Cape Town, I've driven this route over the Frnschoek pass many a time and it's pretty decent except for some slow-moving traffic you might encounter around a bend so one does need a little restraint. Wonder if the CAR team had the road closed for the test? And I was at the Killarney racetrack yesterday - no M5 but plenty Holden / Chevvy SS's (6 litre V8's). Nice to see a local article featured |

I drove that pass 2 weeks ago and our club BMWFanatics.co.za will be doing it again along with the Helshoogte end April. Picturesque place and great roads...very lucky to live just outside Franschhoek itself //M5 for me please

For those who didn't read to the end... The question, therefore, is not whether the M5 will be good enough for you, but whether you will be good enough for the M5. Win! Last edited by GTR-Dad; 03-20-2012 at 02:28 PM.. |
