Removal/ replacement of M5 Grill badge
The M5 badge on the front grill has a break in the 5, the top section was broken off. So i have found a new M5 badge for the front grill, OEM part, which i want to install.
Seems the M5 badge is stuck to the grill via double sided tape or something similar. Any suggestions on how to remove the existing? I haven't done any stuff like this before so not sure exactly how to do a neat job on the removal of the existing. How do clean the old sticky stuff off before putting the new badge on? Thanks Glen |

Use fishing wire to remove the old badge (you could probably rip it off with fingers/blade). Heat gun/hair dryer to warm up the old double sided tape and remove the chunks as best you can. Then remove residue with goo gone. Wipe down the badge area with isopropyl alcohol then apply the new badge. Good luck!

Can you send the link for the replacement one? My grill badge broke and I need to get a new one. Thanks!

Just replied to your PM. The part number is for the M5 emblem which sticks onto the black plastic support which attaches to the grill. I didn't take the support off, i left this attached to the grill. The part number is 51138059945 for the M5 emblem.
Thanks |

Plastic piece sold anywhere?
Just replace my 13’ M5 grill with same black dual slotted style as show on previous post. Original and new did not come with black plastic piece that the M5 emblem sticks to. Does anyone know where you can get this or another option to install? I want it to be secure. Thanks in advance.

I ended up finding someone that sold the gloss black grills with an insert and fake badge. Bought my own OEM badge, removed the fake one, and stuck the OEM one in the insert. It worked well but the fitment was subpar. I have since sourced OEM LCI grills. |
