+1 It is an awesome machine, however I thought about the same when i first testdrove the F10 535d. Compared to the e90 & e60 generations of BMW the steering has become "different". Still precise as **** though .. hard to explain

Great review! I agree with him that the car sounds great (...ohhh that burble at 3:30....so yummy!), but I disagree about the sound from the inside. It's subdued enough not to be distracting, but audible enough to represent what the engine is doing. IMHO, I think it strikes a fine balance. I know that the steering feel is subjective, so I'll reserve judgment until I can assess it myself.
I'm really happy that BMW took their time with this car. They have done it again (..not that I expected anything less). Last edited by Sedan_Clan; 09-26-2011 at 02:59 PM.. |

Whats up with the exhaust still making that farting noise? Besides that awesome car though, can't wait to see it in white with some black shoes.

I guess the Active Sound was switched off in that case? While a bit quiet compared to the V10, the interior sound wasn't bad. It was just a bit subdued...something that could easily be fixed with a performance exhaust or simply rolling down the windows.

If that's what it sounds like inside without active sound, then I'm sold...and a bit confused as to why we needed active sound at all, but maybe it was on and he didn't even know about it? Seems like something Sutcliffe would have mentioned.
