2 reason! i have kids and they make a mess on light colours. I know this as i had light full leather on my e60 m5 - big mistake. the other reason is that i wanted full leather and there are only 3 choices and I dont like sakhir orange! in terms of looks, I agree with you, I wouldve preferred light leather inside.

So does anyone know if these will be available for us in the States upon delivery? Are these from BMW painted, or are dealers painting them on their own with the vents that come on the car? Phish, how much did your dealer charge for these?

Damn...this is simply a STUNNING color...totally beautiful!!!!! Since I have no kids, I can safely include a light colored leather like Full Champagne as I really REALLY do not like Sakhir Orange and Moonstone is not desirable...
What I love is on some of the images I see a blue tint and others I see a purplish tint (like my all-time favorite Individual color Rubinschwarz Metallic)... I guess that the only caveat might be the fear of swirl marks..... Once again, stunning car!!! Cheers,

Thanks... I'm undecided between the Azurite Black and the Black Sapphire.
Judging from the pictures it seems the Azurite is darker with a hint of blue at different angles and the Sapphire seems more grayed out. Hmmm

I*think* sapphire is just pure black with no hue of anything. the blacks are azurite and citrine. Azurite is blue and citrine is brown, but both are pretty much black in most lights. Azurite has an inky quality and in sunlight sparkles blue. its very lovely! the problem with the dark colours is that you need to wash them all the time to maintain them and also you get swirls from washing, even when you wash carefully. Even with this though, I dont regret my azurite!

Official AZURITE BLACK F10 M5 Photos Thread
Finally picked her up today even though she arrived at the dealership a week ago. Been so busy with work but finally got the chance to enjoy her all day:
Some bad quality phone pics: Attachment 783598 Attachment 783599 Attachment 783600 I took her home and installed black kidney grilles and side markers which I had ordered from IND Distribution (awesome products and service, thanks guys) - took me all but 25 minutes to do per the DIY instructions found on these forums. I'm a happy camper right now is all I can say

Official AZURITE BLACK F10 M5 Photos Thread
Picked up the car three weeks ago. She's pretty much loaded except for full leather which is a € 7300 ($ 9850 ) upgrade in my country.
The silverstone on azurite works really well. The paint is awesome, even on overcast days. Much richer than carbon black. Check my pics: By the way I freakin' love this beast Best Bimmer I've ever had by a mile! xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Update: The car is now on the comp pack wheels. Although I think it's a shame that the CP wheels are non-forged, I think they're actually good looking. So, I decided to use them as a winter set (including michelin winter tyres). Today we had a few hours of sunshine so I took a few pictures. Azurite looks glorious on sunny days.
