They're improving their PDK for the 992 with an 8th cog and I'm sure it will be even better. Plus they're still committed to manuals. No ZF8's for Porsche!
There are also rumors that the next GT3 will have an NA motor that revs to 9,500rpm. Praise Jesus! And those quad tips on the 992 Carrera S look sick! So much goodness coming from Porsche, even despite their strategy to make a hybrid 911 in the future. I can't tell yet, but I'm gathering that their hybrid 911 will be a mixture between an electric motor and an NA engine, which is the way it should be for a sports car. No turbos necessary when you've got an electric motor to create instant torque. https://www.carmagazine.co.uk/spy-sh...s-and-details/ https://www.motorauthority.com/news/...mage=100667976

Personally, I wouldn’t bet that’s a GT3 ...........the flat 6 is tapped out on power unless they go electric? Unless they use the 991.2 RS guts, and the new RS gets the electric motor. Too many emissions laws for Porsche in 2019. Post 2018 the motors will be different than the 18’s .....my 2019 comes in November (:

And I would love to buy a P-Car one day, but have different priorities right now. But I can still be a car enthusiast can't I?

By the way the next Panamera GTS will be a V8 look for it in 1Q. Also new Porsche Spyder Boxster will have a de-tuned 4.0 along with the GT4. You’re seeing the last era of pure NA motors soon a Porsche. My RS will be a keeper 525 hp 9k readline I’m good. Just can’t dig the turbo stiff, but I will say the wife’s AMG GLC 6.3 I love that thing it moves. |

I didn't hear that about the next Panny GTS, that will be fantastic if it gets a true NA V8. I did hear they were keeping the NA motor of the next Boxster Spyder and GT4, which is absolutely the right move. I'm not sure where the next gen 992 GT cars are headed though, turbo or no? I do love Porsche's, although I've never been a real big fan of any turbocharged Porsche. They're cool cars though. I hope I'm lucky enough to get a GT car one day or at least an older 991.1 Carrera S with a 6MT and I'll straightpipe it! Haha!
