I have had the same experience especially when turning the steering wheel counter-clockwise. Will see what dealer say when I go in for a schedule service next month

I took mine in two months (or so) for this issue, they had to replace something - it's a common defect in the 7-series apparently and there is a SIB for it. (not for the M5 yet)

Here is the service receipt:

Yeah, seems like this car has been plagued with a few issues.. At least I know it's not only me, I thought I was just a horrible driver and was too harsh on the car.

Happens to me when I turn the wheel while backing up, feels like shudder coming through the steering wheel. When I turn the wheel while stopped, I'll get a creaking noise as I approach full lock. Anyone has the same symptoms?

I'm starting a list of problems that are arising with my M5:

1. steering wheel vibration/shudder at low speeds
2. ticking noise coming from front suspension
3. B&O speaker buzzing
4. creaking noise while turning wheel at full lock
5. random creaks and squeaking that seem to move around each day
6. my trunk randomly opened itself while at work, assistant had to alert me of that (not sure if accidentally pressed button while in pocket).
7. blown cigarette lighter fuse
8. increased battery discharge warning once

to be continued....

Same issue. I have taken it in twice and the SA could not duplicate the issue. I will be taking it in for the 3rd time and they better fix it.

vibration when turning the wheel at low speeds

Hi
I have this issue too but I'm wondering is there any belt for the hydraulic pump that get loose when you turn the steering wheel because I feel like when the pressure gets stronger on the pump it vibrates so what do you think? I even flush the old oil and refill it with the original one still the same.

I wonder if this was an early build issue - 12, 13's into early 14's? Any 2015 owners have this issue?

I've noticed a very slight vibration at speed coming up into the steering wheel-sort of high frequency.
