Petrol crisis due to shortage of HGV drivers not petrol shortage

People are panic buying and long queues are forming at petrol stations even in the middle of the night with many stations closed.
The problem is tanker drivers have to get an extra exam for driving hgv's with hazardous loads, great move gov.

The beeb or the running of it should have been replaced ages ago,it's full of people that live in their own world to what they think is good news and the way they put it out which is completely out of step for this country.

All this hysteria has been caused by the media AGAIN. Unfortunately majority of people are stupid enough to believe it and therefore panic buying is caused by only a few news articles, this spreads through social media and within 24hrs there now IS a fuel shortage (but only at pumps) due to lack of HGV tanker drivers as already stated. Hopefully this will pass in a few days, as there will be some "other" news the media can focus on….. Just really shows how easily the public are controlled by what they see on a screen…… #painful

Gov now say they will allot temporary passes to some HGV drivers so that fuel deliveries can resume.

These were pics of local fuel stations a few hours ago, my Momentum 99 station was shut while the other Shell one had a long queue.

Crisis is deepening in the SE, gov. should have introduced the HGV drivers permit exam in stages not all at once.

Everything seems back to normal now with most stations re-supplied with fuel, around here anyway.
