Rear tyres

What tyre choice and size are people running on the rears. Are there any issues running larger than the standard 295s
Cheers

No probs for me, you'll be alright with 305 30's with more grip on take off and in the bends.

Mines running 700bhp I'm actually worried 305 might be a tad too big

Nah you'll be alright I've got 'only' 560hp and it's more than enough, those 295's were just too puny and skitted a little too much.

I'm debating on going with 315 next lol. But I do like the rear end getting a bit loose with my 295.

I have 13k miles on them so far. I'm estimating another 7.5-10k easily before I need to change them.

Thing is, with a wider tire in the rear, you'll have more grip but it also puts a bunch of extra stress on the drivetrain.

It'll have to be Toyo R888r. Michelin won't fit on our wheels from what I've heard.

Yes, missed the r at the end. A bunch of people run it and it looks awesome and grips like a rollercoaster apparently.

The price is pretty high though..

I can imagine it being dearer and I guess ride quality would be a little more aggressive also.

Currently stock tune, DPs and intake. I had stage 1 for a while, stage 2 after that, but it was getting too hot imo.

So I modified the stock tune to remove the check engine light for the DPs and cold start. It's been great this way!

I'm now running 730bhp, the stock fitment 295 PSS aren't loving life. Although my skills of catching a slide in a powerful, heavy rwd car are growing daily. I have a set of 305 Vredesteins to try next.
