Professional Install or DIY

I've been sitting on a full Eisenmann Sport Exhaust with midpipes and Fabworx Downpipes for a few months now. I have a local shop who's familiar with installing both at a decent price ($800). However with all the social distancing should stay away from a shop? I also usually feel better about doing things myself.

I've seen videos on how to do the downpipes job and believe I could handle without a problem however I'm a little concerned about the exhaust.

Should I let the professionals tackle this job or take pride in doing it myself??? I don't have a lift either. Just 2 hydraulic jacks and stands.

For virus issues, I say you just need to wipe down the interior after the work is done. Study has shown the virus lives on surfaces for a few days, but if you just leave the car alone for a few days, virus should die.

Whether you should do the work or not because of trust, hard to say. Major concern would be at leaks, right?

Thanks. Appointment set for next week. I'll feel better knowing it was done right. Will update with pics and maybe a sound clip.

Good call. If it was just DP's, might be worth a DIY but at $800, I think that's a good deal for install of both.

I'd recommend getting it installed via a shop. I thought about doing the downpipes myself but I found a local Euro tuning shop that did it for $300 with the use of a lifted and more tools that I had.
